P31s Sage Kohler began her State Farm journey by opening a scratch agency in Pflugerville, Texas (just outside Austin) in 1984—yes, that’s 41+ years with the Farm and counting.
In 1997, she stepped into leadership as Director of Agency Recruiting for Texas, followed by roles of increasing responsibility: Agency Field Consultant in Huntsville, Alabama (1999) and Agency Field Executive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2001)—where, fun fact, Rand Harbert was her boss for a time.
In 2006, Sage made a strategic lateral move as an AFE to Louisville, Kentucky to support critical market needs. By 2010, after years of leadership roles that required frequent relocation, she chose to return to what she loves most: personal production. (The next move would have been Bloomington—she decided her roots mattered more than another zip code.)
Sage has been back in agency since August 1, 2010 under an AA05 contract and has qualified for Travel more years than many agents have been licensed, along with numerous company accolades.
What she’s most proud of, however, is her reputation as the person you call when you need experienced, real-world help. Lately, she’s fielded several questions around ULs—which is exactly why she’s leading February's call.
